PROS & CONS OF FORGING HOURS

Pros:
  • Getting your hours done in half the time
  • Saves money and time by not having to do as many drives
  • If your parents cant take you on many drives this could be a lifesaver
  • Zero stress about not getting your book done in the allocated three year period
Cons:

  • Getting caught may result in massive fines and loss of learners licence on top of having to start all over again at some point
  • One bad error could ruin the whole book
  • You wont be as good of a driver as you should be and might put yourself or another life at risk
  • You need someone to be able to sign all your drives off full well knowing that them signing forged drives that could get them in serious trouble too

When it comes to forging your hours the first things you must understand is A. the risk involved if you get caught B. knowing there is little room for careless errors and C. You will still need to attend at least 3 driving lessons with an instructor & make sure your able to drive comfortably before taking your P's test.

Before I get into my step by step list of instructions on how to get this done fast, easy and at the lowest risk, I would like to dot point a list of things that are highly worth noting and play a key part into the success of your log book being accepted.

  • You need to have at least 10 hours of night driving logged for your book to be accepted
  • Make sure you have experience driving in rainy/stormy conditions because getting caught in a storm on your P's test wont end very well, the roads change in wet weather and the handling of a vehicle is completely different
  • If the instructor on your P's test has to touch the breaks once its an instant FAIL, so for heavens sake make sure you know how to drive before going for your provisional licence
  • Make the drive times you forge look legit. Remember you have to add and chop minutes off drives every now and then to account for traffic, roadworks, traffic lights etc. even if the drive is to the same location each time make the time you write is slightly different but not to crazy that it looks out of place
  • If you have lets say a whole page of drives forged but in the middle is a drive you did with an instructor and you made an error on a couple forged drives on that same page you cant just rip that page out and start over because of the drive with the instructor that usually costs 55$/1hr lesson
  • DONT rush writing stuff down! Errors are critical and can cost you greatly so make sure what your writing down is correct
  • You need a SIGNATURE from someone who has been on there opens for at least a year and they also need to provide there license number
  • For this to work effectively you will need to have someone who is willing to sign off all your drives for you otherwise this method will not work
  • DONT make the mistake of forging a ridiculous amount of hours during school hours throughout the week, as most of the people on learners are school students it will look very suss and people have been caught by making this mistake

Step 1:

Before starting anything make sure you have Someone lined up ( preferably a family member ) who has been on there opens for more then one year with a current licence who can sign your drives off for you. The person singing off the drives may also be accountable if you get caught.

Step 2:

Get in the car your going to take the kilometers from and do a solid drive about 30 mins to one hour long from one point to another.

Step 3:

Once you have completed step 2 you should now have in your log book a recorded drive 30 mins to one hour long, start & finish times and start & finish kilometers.

* note this is where it starts to get complicating*

Step 4:

Grab your logbook and find a comfy spot to sit, you are about to learn how to record your first forged drive. Go to the column right under the last drive you did and proceed to fill in the date ( which would be the next day after the drive you just did ) then put in your state, the persons name you drove with, there licence number etc ( which will be in your above drive so just copy those details over ).

Step 5:

After filling in those sections you will be left with your drive times box still empty and your kilometers box still empty. What you need to do from here is fill in your start time. So lets say the drive you recorded before this took 50 minutes ( for example )  start time 7:00 end time 7:50 this drive you will want to record the times slightly different as in 7:00 start time and end time 7:54 to make it look more legit.

*Remember you want to forge the same drive from start point to end point a few times through week. By doing this method it will look like your doing a drive to work a few times a week or to a relatives house etc, looks completely normal*

Step 6:

Now its time for the final step, putting in the kilometers. This is actually super simple just like this whole process but may seem daunting to hear until you actually get into the flow of how to do this. Go to the drive you did just before this and grab the ENDING kilometers and write them down in the START kilometers for the drive your forging right now. Once you have done that, work out how many kilometers the last drive took and add the Ks it took to the number you have in your start box and that will give you your ending kilometers number. REMEMBER to add or minus a couple of kilometers here and there to keep it looking legit.

EXAMPLE PHOTO BELOW

In the photo above ( sorry for poor quality ) you can see how instead of adding the end kilometers from your last drive to the start kilometers of your next drive, he added a few extra kilometers in-between too account for drives out to the shops and what not. That very photo above is actually from somebody I know personally who was looking for a way to cheat 20-30 hours or so to finish his book off and His book has since been sent away and approved without any hassle.

SUMMARY/ EXTRAS

To conclude you can see that with a little time and patience there can be great reward in successfully forging your hours HOWEVER I have been doing some reading online and it appears that state leaders and the government are quite aware of the forgery going on and the rules and regulations around the log book are becoming stricter and stricter as we head into each new year. Also for anybody wondering this is for QLD, I have no idea if the log books vary each state or what not so that would be something to definitely check out before trying this as laws vary state to state.
